Rayon/Cotton Gimp is a very strong round yarn which feels silky, consisting of a cotton core wrapped with fine rayon thread to form a Rope like yarn. It’s a very strong yarn which would make a great warp also unique for weft. it also has many other uses including the wrapping of wooden tassel tops, jewelry making & all kinds of craft…..

I like this a lot and will be getting more, but I have a particular type of project in mind, wall art pieces. I’m not sure how it would work in a garment or an item to be laundered, but the shine is beautiful. I’ll try dyeing it to see how it feels after that. Gimp is like a very smooth core-spun, where the shiny rayon is spun on almost perpendicular to the core.
