Description

Nature’s Wool is a collection of fingering weight wool. The yarn is twisted and dyed at our mill here in Philadelphia, PA our wool is sourced domestically. The colors of this line were inspired by the rich various colors, present in crystals and minerals. Nature’s Wool is a lovely yarn for sock knitting because it is so soft and buttery to the touch. It is a perfect yarn for a light weight shrug, scarf, or cape.  It is also ideal for color-work such as Fair Isle, cabling, and lace work as well.  Nature’s Wool  has a soft and bouncy hand it is truly a pleasure to work with. This unique yarn can be used in place of any fingering weight super wash yarn.  We believe the alluring feel of natural wool was too good to super wash away!

  6. Susan (verified owner)

The body of this sweater used Natures Wool Limestone. The first cone was a joy to work with, the second cone not so great as it twisted and jammed the feeder. However, with some steam and re-winding it worked out well.

  9. Great yarn for sweater knitting (verified owner)

I held this yarn with a strand of mohair silk to knit a cabled sweater and it worked beautifully. Great definition and drape and the thickness is super consistent throughout. I used less than a cone for the whole sweater and loved having fewer ends to weave in!

  15. JP (verified owner)

Although this yarn is not as heavy as I usually use for weft-face weaving, it did a marvelous job with this krokbragd sampler sett at 12 ends per inch. This image is just off the loom and has not yet been steamed or blocked. After steaming and blocking, I have minimal shrinkage, which made the sampler a nice, tightly woven piece that will ultimately be a cross-body purse. This yarn also works well in small format tapestries set at 10 ends per inch. Yes, I keep this yarn on my list of go-to yarns. It’s great.
