I bought “Jewels Black/Black” to use in my weaving, for those spots where very subtle sparkle is perfect. The yarn weaves & finishes (Blooms) into beautiful fabric! Even better, though is how perfect this yarn is for plying handspun yarn! The yarn’s final twist direction (Z) means that when plying in “S” direction, no additional twist is added. And even as it untwists during plying, it’s never enough to ruin the yarn’s structure. Also, the weight of the yarn is just perfect… And it’s nice and round. It’s wool content blooms and “settles in” to the other ply. Very elegant!
